back… still busy…
3 weeks of work and on my 4th week with out a full day off yet…
last adventure the miele hot plates failed to work just when I just about to boil some farfalle to be served with the famous shalimar fresh tomato sauce with basil.
oh the captain did know not what to do… solution… went to see my ex captain
answer to that:
when the yacht is on anchor and running with one generator … and the yacht air conditioning is in full blast the generator wont cope.
so if I am cooking I must ask the captain to run both generators.
who said cooking at sea is no fun?
I need basic engineering too.
feeding the boys sandwiches today and making nicoise salad.
too busy to post due to stress perhaps… the new captain who took the helm last week resigned yesterday
just when I sent an e mail to my boss I MIGHT AS WELL WALK OUT IF THERE WILL BE NO CHEF FOR OUR SICILY TRIP.
so she assured me now Chef C will come (he text me what I need from London… ohh green and blacks organic chocs please with hazelnuts and raisins… and bill it to the boss!!!)
so now we are “rudderless” no captain yet trip will be delayed for few days and I now hold the boats finances and still cooking for the crew……
till here awful weather today got to dash back to the boat
hopefully will eat out tonight and drink rose
I’ve been missing you.
I’m starving to see your food pictures.
I’ve been sad without an update
But glad you’re ALL-right despite the busy sked. Happy weekend Sha, regards to the BOYS but take the most.
awww sha, still i am sure you were able to take a shots of some food you have prepared on board…like K we miss your blog cuisines.
A++
just wondering what your work sched is like…yeah we’re all missing your great posts and fab photos sha! take care inday!
work has no decent timetable when owners are on board so since they stayed for over 20 days then i worked 20 days then as soon they left i work 9 till 5 with proper lunch breaks. i go out everyday to get bread and fresh leaves for our salad.
but when boss is here it depends.. when they are at the villa and just use the boat as day trip then I start 830 prep the boat, load the crew uniform….dash to the market then around 10 is either the family arrives and we leave port towards monaco or st tropez.
then I normally make lunch for them at 2pm then crew eats in between. i clear up the galley serve coffee cakes
then late afternoon back to port.
BUT when they stay over its 8 til 10pm………..
will blog it on myother blog
hi sha,

sounds busy here… im sure you already had your share of summer, starts to be potable here in dijon too..tho i wish some rain, namamatay na yung pelouse ko… wish you more fun there in the south!!
Hi Sha, thank you so much for the postcard! I got it today and was so happy to hear from you. I would really love to join you drink a few glass of chilled rose [though, i prefer dry chardonnay :-)]. But rose will do… Btw, i still haven’t had a chance to use the pan you sent me [huhu]. No cake flour to be found in Jersey!!! Beng said i can use plain flour instead. But it’s been so hot to put the oven on… ay nakuuuuu. Out tonight, checking out the ‘new’ boat house restaurant in St Aubin [i wish i could take my camera but am not allowed to take photos daw of food in public [it’s embarrasing daw! besides, i’ll be drinking some alcoholic beverages and don’t want to misplace the fancy camera] – apparently, it’s quite lush and very nice – we’ll see. Out on school night… bad bad bad me!!!
drink for me! hope you’re doing ok after all those work weeks! summer na kasi – am sure you’re going to be fine…
“so she assured me now Chef C will come (he text me what I need from London… ohh green and blacks organic chocs please with hazelnuts and raisins… and bill it to the boss!!!)”
I like it when you say it this way! “..bill it to the boss!!!”
I hope your boss has a wonderful sense of humor. *LOL*
Good to see you back and thanks for keeping us posted! Today must be a perfect day for Rose – at least in Norway it is, since it is St. Han’s Day (Mid summer), so lets toast for each other:-)

Just stopped by to say Hello from Norway and to wish you a splended summer time:-)
