Oia, Santorini, Greece
Oia.. Santorini’s north tip settlement, high on a cliff top.
One of the most picturesque Greek Island Thira (Santorini)
I love the Greek Islands and one of them is Santorini.I love taking the 8am ferry, and finding a spot on the deck to sleep and sunbathe while the ferry glides through the blue Aegean Sea.
Oia’s cave settlement, cliffs and the 214 steps down to the beach is just one of the perfect place to relax and we have stayed at the same hotel where we can have our own little veranda facing the burnt crater and see the world go by.
Down below is Kira Katina sea food tavern, where freshly grilled octopus is served, fried calamari, and tsipoura (sea bream) grilled serve with olive oil and lemon.
Hey… Schat,
I’ve only been to greece twice.. and was at Skopelos Island most times.. 😉
Mrs T skopelos is a great place I was at Skiathos last Sept. Hope the blog is running now.
I am going to try putting this destination on my schedule when I visit Greece. 🙂
BAYI this is 8 hrs away with a slow ferry you can fly but if time is limited then I suggest Hydra.
2 hrs with the hydrofoil.
