teh tarik… langkawi, malaysia
… pulled tea in Mandarin. A tea that would take me a while to love.
The tea is poured back and forth between two containers ( watched this process when I was in Singapore) to give a strong flavour called “pulling”.
It is such a strong black tea served with condensed milk.
You can enjoy this at Kofi tiams and restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore.
I simply love teh tarik! When I visited Brunei last year I discovered a similar drink called “teh C” also from Malaysia . . . I have some photos but haven’t posted yet 🙂
I used to mixed this tea when a was working in WaterFront (Lahug Cebu).
Love this tea. A malaysian chef introduced me teh tarik.
oh wow.. look strong.. does it taste strong, too??
Hi Sha! Great to see you with new posts again. 🙂 Hmmm… same here. It would take me a while to get used to Teh Tarik. Something out of the ordinary, but I like how strong it is. Almost like a Flat White.
This looks so appetizing! 🙂 Hope you are well Sha!
good to read from you. i’ve seen this tea made but i’ve never tasted it. hope all is well.
